Born in Seville. José Palomar began as a painter in his father's studio. He continued at the Escuela de Artes y Oficios from which he went on to the Superior de Bellas Artes de Santa Isabel de Hungría, to finish at the Escuela de San Fernando, where he received a scholarship for all his courses.
