Mariano Bertuchi is a painter Spanish born in Granada on 6 February 1884 and died in Tetouan on 20 June 1955 . It shows in the style orientalist , considered the painter of the Protectorate Spanish , and painted landscapes of Morocco and the daily life of its inhabitants. When settled in Tetouan , where he remained until the end of his life he became inspector Services of Fine Arts, and directed the School of Fine Arts in Indigenous Tetuan , while leading the artistic direction of several journals and magazines and multiplying partnership creations of posters and postage stamps . Mariano Bertuchi is generally known as the great painter of the Protectorate , the painter of Morocco .
